Bocote is a smooth wood that comes from Mexico and Central America. The color is a mild yellow with ribbons of ashen gray. The surface is lice the colors of a boa constrictor, slinking through the jungle. Wands of this wood are for illusionist and those wizards that would pass through logic like wisps of smoke through the jungle leaves.
Once you choose your wood, choose the size of your wand. The sizes selected are the piece of wood that I will start with before carving.
Next, select how intricately you wand me to carve your wand. This is mostly a matter of how much time I put in to carving your wand. There is a simple elegance in all the wands. At the $100 level I will do intricate patterns and 2 dimensional imagery on the surface of your wand. At the $200 level I will carve three dimensional shapes and patterns into the wood. All the carving is done painstakingly by hand.
