Birdseye Maple is of the hardest and strongest wood that we work with. It is unyielding. Some wizards are like water in the rivers, flowing with the terrain, others shape the terrain to their will. Wands of Birdseye Maple are made for the latter. Wield this wand well.
Once you choose your wood, choose the size of your wand. The sizes selected are the piece of wood that I will start with before carving.
Next, select how intricately you wand me to carve your wand. This is mostly a matter of how much time I put in to carving your wand. There is a simple elegance in all the wands. At the $100 level I will do intricate patterns and 2 dimensional imagery on the surface of your wand. At the $200 level I will carve three dimensional shapes and patterns into the wood. All the carving is done painstakingly by hand.
