In the depths of the ocean, in the deep crevasses of the earth the greatest riches lay hidden.  Many lesser adventurers have lost their lives, and worse, their sanity in the search for wealth.  There are fifty-nine places to set pearls.  As I carved this 15 1/2 inch wand from poplar, I wondered if anyone will ever fill its facets, or rather loosen the threads of their mind and descend into maddness.
